Above - On our final day of shooting in San Pedro for Kate Brown's new 16mm film Vilas Kortas. The highlight of our morning was that we got to shoot images and record sound at the overwhelmed rescue center where all the sea lions that have been washing up on the beaches are recuperating. Many of the sea lions are just 1 month old and have been separated from their mothers who have had to travel further out to sea in search of food.

Kate will be screening a first cut of the film at the Echo Park Film Center on March 28th at 8:00pm. A celebration of cars, film, Los Angeles, and sound, Kate will also be screening films by Margo Victor and James Benning. This is a free event : )
